Job Summary
Provides a range of professional teaching services for Exceptional Children in a Pre-K setting, developing lesson plans and instructional materials, differentiating instruction to meet diverse learner needs, maintaining classroom management, evaluating student progress with multiple assessment methods, and communicating with parents and staff. The role adheres to district policies, health and safety procedures, and professional ethics, and requires a Bachelor’s Degree from an approved education program and NC Teaching License in the appropriate subject area, with alignment to the North Carolina Standard Course of Study/Common Core standards and ongoing professional development.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an approved education program
- NC Teaching License in appropriate subject area or qualifications to obtain NC teaching License
- NC DPI Licensure
- Experience in differentiating instruction and collaborating with families and staff (implied by Standards)
