Job Summary
Prepare lesson plans aligned with state curriculum standards and use differentiated teaching strategies to support student learning. Administer and record student assessments, assign lessons, and grade work timely while maintaining order in classrooms and school areas. Counsel students for academic or social needs, consult with professionals on behavioral issues, and communicate regularly with parents through conferences and written updates. Keep accurate attendance and academic records, report child welfare concerns to authorities, and represent the school system positively in the community. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development workshops, and supervise activities such as field trips and club meetings.
Required Qualifications
- Valid teacher's license with appropriate endorsement(s)
- Strong written, verbal, presentation and interpersonal skills
- Basic understanding of and skill with computer technology for personal and presentation applications
- Meets health and physical requirements
