Job Summary
Collaborate with co-teachers to refine classroom practices and cultivate a secure learning environment with clear expectations. Deliver rigorous instruction in ELA, Math, Science, and History while differentiating lessons to meet the unique needs of students with IEPs and autism. Provide meaningful feedback, analyze assessment data to drive academic outcomes, and implement Individualized Education Program plans. Maintain strong relationships with families to support educational objectives and participate in state-wide testing accommodations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree
- NYS Teaching Certification
Desired Qualifications
- NYS Teaching Certification (preferred, certification pathway support offered)
- One year of teaching experience working in an urban setting
- Knowledge of students with disabilities, specifically high-functioning autism spectrum disorders
