Job Summary
EC-5th Grade Teacher – ESL Required. Provide students with appropriate learning activities and experiences in the core academic subject area to support intellectual, emotional, physical, and social growth. Deliver instruction that develops competencies and skills for functioning in society, manage classroom behavior, and apply knowledge of curriculum and instruction. Participate in meetings and professional development in a virtual environment, and collaborate with staff to support student learning. The role requires a Bachelor's degree and a valid Texas teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsements or training for the subject and level assigned. This 187-day calendar position is associated with Meadowcreek Elementary School and offers remote instruction options.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsements or required training for subject and level assigned
- Demonstrated competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
- General knowledge of curriculum and instruction
- Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior
- Ability to conduct instruction, attend meetings and professional development in a virtual environment
- Experience: At least one-year student teaching or approved internship
