Job Summary
Teacher Assistant provides support to instructional programs, assisting in supervising, caring for, and instructing special needs students in regular or self-contained classrooms; helps implement IEP plans, adapts activities and materials, administers tests and assignments, administers basic first aid, supports behavioral interventions, attends in-service meetings, communicates with staff, escorts students between classes and buses, maintains records, and participates in IEP meetings to reinforce learning objectives and ensure student progress.
Required Qualifications
- Missouri Substitute Certificate
- 36 college credit hours or 20 hours of online instruction through Frontline or Kelly Education Services
- high school diploma
