Job Summary
Dean, Student Discipline responsible for overseeing student discipline and welfare, implementing the Student Code of Conduct in alignment with Florida statutes and School Board policy, investigating infractions, adjudicating disciplinary matters, and presenting cases in due process proceedings. The role entails scheduling conferences with parents/guardians, collaborating with teachers, counselors, and external authorities, maintaining disciplinary records, monitoring attendance-related interventions, developing alternative interventions for chronic issues, and contributing to program revisions and staff professional development related to discipline and attendance. Familiarity with FERPA, HIPAA, SESIR, MTSS, and related privacy and records-retention requirements, as well as data-driven decision making and effective communication with stakeholders, is required. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
- Master’s degree preferred
- Valid Florida teaching certificate
- Educational leadership or administration and supervision certification preferred
- Three (3) years of Highly Effective/Effective teaching experience
- Industry certification preferred
- Lean Six Sigma Certification preferred
- Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may find acceptable
