Job Summary
CTE Teacher for Business Information Management (BIM) in Austin, TX. Develop and deliver BIM-focused lessons aligned with district curriculum, create and implement lesson plans, tailor instruction to diverse learner needs, and use technology to enhance learning. Promote student growth through ongoing assessment, oversee internships/IBC testing, and coordinate with staff to plan instructional goals. Prepare students for post-secondary readiness through industry experiences, including internships and job shadowing, and participate in extracurricular activities and CTSO-related competitions. Ensure compliance with codes of ethics and district policies, manage classroom environment, and maintain open communications with families and community partners. May require driving district non-CDL vehicles and supporting off-campus activities. Demonstrates professionalism, effective communication, and collaboration to support student outcomes in a CTE program.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate with required endorsement for subject and level assigned or approved alternative certification program
- ESL certification (preferred)
- Candidates must have a satisfactory outcome of fingerprinting background check. Non-refundable fee (approximately $50) paid by employee.
- Must be trained to drive district non-CDL vehicles. The district will provide safety training.
- Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrated competency in the academic subject area assigned
- Experience: Student teaching, approved internship, or related work experience
