Job Summary
Provides counseling support to elementary students within the district, implementing the Missouri Comprehensive School Counseling Program and ASCA Standards. Delivers classroom lessons, conducts individual and group counseling, monitors student progress, and coordinates with teachers, parents, and community agencies to meet developmental needs. Collaborates with building and district teams to provide Tier 2 or Tier 3 interventions, shares information about counseling resources, and prepares materials documenting activities. Maintains confidentiality, communicates effectively with stakeholders, and contributes to program planning and implementation to support academic, career, and social/emotional development.
Required Qualifications
- Master's degree from an accredited college or university
- Missouri Teacher Certification
- K-12 School Counselor Certification
- Minimum of three (3) years of job related experience with increasing levels of responsibility
- Criminal Background Clearance satisfactory to the District
- Knowledge of algebra and/or geometry; ability to review and interpret technical information; ability to write and speak persuasively; ability to analyze situations and create action plans
