Job Summary
The CCP Business Instructor at Hamilton High School will facilitate experiential learning aligned with curriculum standards, teaching Business Foundations, Professional Technical Sales, and CCP courses that provide transcripted college credit. The role includes coordinating DECA activities, guiding students in applying business concepts, and collaborating with colleagues to support student success. Qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in a business-related field and appropriate Ohio teaching licensure (or eligibility) with a willingness to undergo state review; 2+ years of management or business experience; strong communication, analytical, and organizational skills; and proficiency with educational technology. A Master's degree in business administration is strongly preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business-related area or equivalent
- State Board of Education licensure in a relevant area or willingness to undergo transcript review for appropriate grade-level pedagogy
- Passes (or has passed) OAE content-knowledge test for Business Education (008) or equivalent credential
- Willingness to complete Ohio's alternative teacher licensure process including university coursework
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Experience in management or business administration (minimum 2 years) and ability to work with students, teachers, and administrators as a team
- Computer literacy suitable for educational technology and classroom management
- History of good attendance and professional conduct
- Criminal background check as required by Ohio law and Board Policy
- Master's degree in business administration strongly preferred
- Business, sales, and/or entrepreneurial experience preferred
