2026-2027 Brockett Elementary School (RISE) Special Education Teacher

Provide special education instruction for students at Brockett Elementary (RISE). Develop or modify curricula and prepare lessons to match student ability levels, and work in self-contained, team, departmental, or itinerant capacity as assigned. Collaborate with students, parents, and staff to develop IEPs through the ARD process, implement instructional or therapeutic programs, assess student learning styles, and employ varied instructional techniques and media including technology. Manage classroom environments and student behavior per IEP, supervise teacher aides/volunteers, participate in ARD meetings, select instructional media, and maintain open communication with families and colleagues while complying with district policies. Ensure safety and appropriate care as outlined in IEP and district guidelines, and participate in staff development and school activities. Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree, Texas teaching certificate with special education endorsements, knowledge of ARD/IEP processes, and effective communication skills.},
