Job Summary
Board of Directors nominations for Swimming Canada. The role involves governance oversight, committee assignments (Audit, Finance and Risk; External Relations; Governance; High Performance; Human Resources; Marketing and Communications; Nominations; Sport Development), and participation in strategic/business planning, fund development, government relations, policy development, and risk management. Three seats are open for a three-year term, including one retired swimmer, with meetings up to ten times per year in-person or remotely, plus several committees meeting remotely. Experience in areas such as finance, governance, legal knowledge, fundraising, and marketing/branding is encouraged, and prior competitive-swimming exposure is considered an asset.
