Job Summary
Assist with planning, organizing, and conducting regular practice sessions; develop and implement game strategies and tactics; teach fundamental skills, techniques, and sports rules to student-athletes; supervise student-athletes during practices, games, and school-sponsored trips; promote discipline, responsibility, and good sportsmanship among players; ensure compliance with school, district, and state athletic regulations; assist with maintenance of team equipment and uniforms; assist with scheduling and facility use; maintain open communication with parents and guardians; provide mentorship and guidance to student-athletes on personal development and college opportunities; enforce all school policies and codes of conduct; perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Prior coaching experience
- Valid Florida teaching certificate or valid Department of Education athletic coaching certificate
- Valid FHSAA certification
- Valid Adult and Child First Aid/CPR/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
- Any appropriate combination of relevant education, experience, and/or certifications may be considered
- Valid Florida Driver’s License
