Job Summary
Coordinate the East HS football team in compliance with MSHSAA standards while supervising student-athletes at practices and contests. Assist in implementing athletic standards, organizing practice schedules, and managing transportation, facilities, and game logistics. Emphasize safety precautions, injury management, and ethical sportsmanship throughout the season. Fulfill 8 contact hours of professional development through district, school, and external meetings. Complete required MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles and Sports First Aid courses. This seasonal role supports the district's athletic program development.
Required Qualifications
- Must have a Teachers Certificate or valid Substitute Certificate or Temporary (provisional) Teacher's Certificate.
- Must successfully complete the MSHSAA/NFHS Coaching Principles Course and Sports First Aid Courses.
- Must fulfill 8 contact hours of professional development.
- District level mtgs –4hrs
- School level mtgs - 3hrs
- Outside mtgs/Clinics –1hr
- This job requires that the employee be able to: sit, stand, walk, speak, hear, use hands, fingers, reach with hands and fingers
- This job requires that the employee be able to: bend, stoop, lift objects of at least 25 pounds
