Job Summary
Paraprofessional – Special Education working under a special education teacher to support students with disabilities ages 3–21 in various settings, assisting with instructional materials, implementing accommodations/modifications per IEPs, providing individual and small-group instruction, reinforcing behavior plans, assisting with technology and communication devices, data collection, maintaining student confidentiality, and helping sustain a conducive learning environment. Responsibilities include classroom support, assisting with learning activities, and basic care tasks as needed; physical/environmental requirements and duties are outlined, with benefits described. Minimum qualification: two years of college experience or successful completion of the Parapro Assessment; position is light-to-moderate in physical demand and located in a school setting in Virginia.
