Job Summary
Middle School/Social Studies Teachers are responsible for designing weekly lesson plans and developing standards-based assessments while analyzing assessment data to foster the needs of 21st Century Learners. The role includes integrating technology into lesson planning, motivating students, liaising with parents, developing improvement plans, and collaborating with special educators. Additional responsibilities involve creating and reviewing student assessments and participating in professional development. Candidates must hold a BA/BS degree and have or be eligible for a TN teaching license.
Required Qualifications
- BA/BS degree
- Current TN teaching license or eligibility for one
- Ability to work in an extended day environment
- Ability to teach in an inclusion environment with a co-teacher
