Job Summary
Teach 5th Grade English/Language Arts in a One Way Dual Language program. Plan and teach a program of study in accordance with the Texas Education Agency and district curricula; shelter instruction across contents daily; maintain an inviting, risk-free classroom; assess student progress and provide regular feedback; diagnose learning needs and coordinate interventions; implement ARD/LPAC-directed modifications and accommodations; collaborate with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators; maintain an attendance rate of 94% and adhere to district safety and technology expectations; hold strong bilingual/biliterate proficiency for Spanish subject areas (Literacy & Grammar, Science, Social Studies); follows a probationary contract structure (187 days plus professional development) and salary schedule. Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree, Texas teaching certification including bilingual/ESL, and Texas Reading Academy certification; no supervisory duties beyond classroom supervision. Proficiency in multilingual program implementation and district guidelines is essential.
