Job Summary
Manage general ledger accounting, banking, and accounts payable functions while preparing and delivering financial analyses and reports for internal and external audiences. Generate monthly financial statements and assist in the efficient management of Mount Carmel Clinic's financial resources. Utilize Microsoft Dynamics GP, Sage Intacct, or similar ERP systems to organize data in Excel and meet recurring deadlines for grant or funder reporting. Work within an interdisciplinary team environment to apply organizational values regarding equity, inclusion, and cultural safety in all aspects of the finance work.
Required Qualifications
- Grade 12
- completion of a recognized business or bookkeeping course
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience with working directly in Microsoft Dynamics GP, Sage Intacct or Dynamics
- Business accounting or administration, preferably in a health care, community services or non-profit organization
- Minimum of two (2) years' experience working in accounts payable accounts receivable processes
- Experience generating financial/GL reports for external stakeholders
- Comfortable working with Excel for organizing and formatting exported data
- Strong attention to detail
- ability to meet recurring deadlines
- Proven knowledge and ability in critical thinking, decision-making and problem-solving skills
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize and focus work-related activities to effectively and efficiently achieve goals and produce expected results/outcomes
- Commitment to the principles that guide Mount Carmel Clinic, as reflected in the history, vision, mission and values
- Knowledge and understanding of Indigenous culture and traditions and the impact of colonization on the health and well-being of Indigenous individuals and families
- Proven ability to work within an interdisciplinary team environment with respect, professionalism, cooperation, sensitivity and cultural awareness
- Strong knowledge, commitment and demonstrated ability to apply diversity, equity, cultural safety, pro-choice, social determinants of health, population health, harm reduction, trauma-informed and community development principles in all aspects of the work
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- proficiency in the use of computer systems, including Excel, Word and Outlook

- Adult and Child Abuse Registry check
Desired Qualifications
