Job Summary
Licensed School Nurse at KIPP Pride Campus (grades K-8) to join the KIPP NC team. Provide health services on campus, including administering medications, immunizations, vision/hearing/scoliosis screenings, maintaining student health records, and supporting wellness programs. Collaborate with families, educators, and health providers to remove health-related barriers to learning; develop emergency plans and train staff; ensure adherence to health protocols; manage daily medications and assist students with disabilities; and communicate health information to families. Requires BSN and NC RN license, CPR, and willingness to obtain NC school-nurse certification within 3 years. Strong organization, communication, and teamwork skills are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in North Carolina
- Willingness to become School Nurse certified in North Carolina within 3 years of being hired
- CPR certification
- Outstanding organizational skills and attention to detail
- Outstanding written and oral communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in an entrepreneurial environment
- Proactive problem solver with initiative
- Demonstrated ability to work well with others and build cross-team relationships
- Strong work ethic and passionate approach to work
