Job Summary
This entry-level Electrician Program position involves performing construction, maintenance, and repair of substation equipment, wiring, and structures to ensure system reliability. Key responsibilities include installing and maintaining electrical equipment such as circuit breakers and transformers, analyzing malfunctions, operating line switches, and performing tasks near energized equipment. Candidates are required to have a High School diploma or equivalent, be enrolled in an A.A.S. in Electronics/Electrical Power, obtain a CDL, and possess basic mechanical skills.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
- Enrolled in an A.A.S. in Electronics/Electrical Power at a qualified institution
- Obtain a CDL within the first year of employment

Additional Requirements
- Must meet expectations on the job and in the scholastic program, obtaining at least a grade C or better in all subjects
- Successful candidates should live in close proximity to the primary work location Transmission office
