Job Summary
Provide daily instruction for students in accordance with Board-approved curriculum, utilizing adopted texts and technology to achieve state and district standards. Develop and maintain lesson plans that adapt to individual pupil needs, incorporating requirements from Individual Education Plans and employing differentiated instruction techniques. Monitor academic progress, design assessments to inform ongoing teaching, and establish classroom behaviors conducive to learning. Communicate with parents regarding academic and social-emotional expectations while collaborating with staff to support struggling learners. Maintain confidentiality of student records and complete all state-mandated trainings and professional development annually.
Required Qualifications
- New Jersey Instructional Certification in the appropriate subject matter and level
- Successful Criminal History Clearance
- Ability to maintain a positive learning environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Compliance with the NJ FIRST Act
- Proof of US Citizenship or appropriate work authorization
- Proficient in computer applications pertinent to support the position, including but not limited to Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, Google Suite, and Genesis Employee Portal and Student Information System
