Job Summary
Manage two children aged 5 and 8 during a 2-to-3-week live-in holiday in New York starting July 19, working 12-hour shifts. Create and execute your own educational and entertaining program to keep the kids engaged throughout their vacation. You must already be based in New York, hold a Bachelor's degree from a reputable university, and possess experience with VIP families. Report progress to the principals or their representatives.
Required Qualifications
- MUST already be based in NEW YORK
- Must have experience working as a governess or as a nanny with VIP or VVIP families either in London or overseas
- Temporary live-in positions
- 2-week bookings or 3-week bookings
- 12-hour shifts
- Must be available for as from 19th July 2023, for a period of 2 to 3 weeks
- Be familiar with New York City to organise exciting activities for 5 & 8-year-old children
- Degree from a reputable University establishment recognised worldwide
- Ideally a PGCE or equivalent
- DBS / Police check
- Paediatric first-aid certificate
- Not being fazed with last-minute schedules and assignments
- Culturally-aware and thoughtful candidates
- Endowed with creative skills
Desired Qualifications
- Ideal candidates might be teachers, holding a PGCE or any relevant teacher's status, experienced with this age group
- Having previously worked as a governess for VIP or VVIP families in the U.K. or overseas will be highly beneficial to handle these positions
- An interest in sports might be useful
- Engaging with the children to keep them interested & entertained during the summer holiday
- Reporting progress to the Principals or their representatives
- Devising your own entertaining and / or educational program with or without parental input
- Complementing your income whilst in New York
