Job Summary
Arrange equipment and materials inside the company truck based on delivery orders, then safely transport them to and from specified locations. Perform general maintenance on the vehicle, ensure proper securing of cargo, and assist with loading and unloading using hand trucks and electric lifts. Maintain an accurate logbook of driving activities, deliveries, and rest periods while adjusting local travel routes for traffic or road conditions. Liaise with dispatch regarding traffic issues and delays, and notify management of accidents, tickets, or damage. Ensure the truck remains clean and compliant with road safety regulations at all times.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to pull a trailer
- Class C driver's license
- Proven experience driving trucks
- A clean driving records
- Sound knowledge of road safety regulations
- The ability to utilize GPS and local road maps
- The ability to operate hand trucks and electric lifts
- Effective communication skills
- Punctual and reliable
