Job Summary
Conduct cleaning of surgery, outpatient, inpatient, public, and office areas by scrubbing vertical and horizontal surfaces. Perform floor maintenance including dust mopping, wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, auto scrubbing, vacuuming, and carpet shampooing. Remove and transport regular, infectious, and soil linen waste to proper receptacles while documenting disposal procedures. Clean draperies, cubicles, and blinds. Respond to code red, code green, code pink, and other emergency situations. Maintain and organize all cleaning carts, trash carts, and equipment. Keep a daily QI log. Maintain a clean, sanitary, and orderly facility environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher preferred
- Demonstrates support for organizational and departmental mission
- Supports and demonstrates knowledge of the Strategic Plan and the Hospital Key Initiatives
- Fosters and promotes teamwork within department and the organization as a whole
- Works to resolves conflicts constructively and in a timely manner
