Job Summary
As a Development Supervisor at Dumas, you will oversee underground development activities, ensuring crews meet production targets safely and efficiently. This role requires strong technical knowledge of development mining and proven leadership skills to maintain Dumas’ outstanding safety record. Key responsibilities include supervising underground development crews to achieve cycle targets and maintain safe work practices; coordinating drilling, blasting, mucking, and ground support installation according to mine plans; ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations; monitoring equipment use and conducting inspections to maintain operational readiness; communicating daily plans and progress to management and crews; and supporting training and development of team members.
Required Qualifications
- Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core with Supervisory Modules
- Minimum 3 years’ experience supervising underground development mining
- Strong knowledge of high-speed lateral, incline, and decline development procedures
- Familiarity with mechanized equipment (e.g., Jumbo's, Mechanized Bolters, X-lifts, jackleg, stoper, etc.)
- Outstanding safety record and leadership ability
