Job Summary
On-site Construction Manager for the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades at Bay Pines VAMC, providing full-time construction oversight during General Contractor operations. Responsibilities include coordinating submittals and RFIs, managing schedules and milestones, performing field verifications and inspections, producing observation and defect lists, and ensuring compliance with VA standards and project specifications. Requires a four-year degree and at least three years of construction management experience (or equivalent). OSHA 30 certification within the last five years is required. Experience with hospital IT/low‐voltage infrastructure and healthcare facility construction is preferred, with familiarity of VA Design Guides/Standards and relevant codes.
Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Technology, or Construction Management (min 4-year degree) with at least 3 years of relevant construction management experience
- Construction Administration experience acceptable as substitute for degree (additional 3 years)
- OSHA 30 (or greater) certification within the last 5 years
- Experience with hospital IT/Low Voltage Infrastructure construction or maintenance; Healthcare infrastructure design/construction experience preferred
- Familiarity with VA Design Guides/Manuals, applicable codes (ASHRAE, Florida Building Code, NEC) and related standards
