Job Summary
Construction Manager to provide on-site construction oversight for the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades at Bay Pines VAMC. Responsibilities include coordinating submittal reviews and the submittal register, reviewing submittals for VA standards and codes, managing RFIs, monitoring project schedules and milestones, performing field verifications and inspections, identifying and reporting non-conforming work to the COR, and delivering observation reports, defect lists, modification narratives, sketches, and drawings. Requires a 4-year degree in Architecture/Engineering/Construction Management and at least 3 years of relevant CM experience, OSHA 30 within the last 5 years, and experience with hospital IT/low voltage infrastructure and healthcare construction. Familiarity with VA Design Guides/Manuals, local codes (e.g., Florida Building Code, NEC), and commissioning of hospital systems is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of Architectural, Engineering, Construction Technology, or Construction Management college curriculum four (4) year degree minimum and a minimum of 3 years of relevant construction management experience.
- Construction Administration Professionals lacking a college curriculum may substitute the education requirement with an additional 3 years of relevant construction management experience.
- OSHA 30 (or greater) certification within the last 5 years.
