Job Summary
Construction Manager (Bay Pines, FL) for full-time, on-site oversight of General Contractor operations supporting the EHRM Infrastructure Upgrades at Bay Pines VAMC. Responsible for coordination of submittal reviews, RFIs, schedule monitoring, field verification of as-built drawings, inspections, defect/omission tracking, and delivery of observation reports and modification narratives. Requires a four-year degree in a related field (or equivalent 3 years CM experience if no degree), OSHA 30 within 5 years, and experience with hospital IT/low-voltage infrastructure and healthcare construction. Familiarity with VA design guides and hospital construction standards is preferred; experience with infection control, project phasing to minimize disruption, and commissioning of hospital infrastructure is desirable. Required Qualifications
- Four-year degree in Architectural, Engineering, Construction Technology, or Construction Management (minimum)
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant construction management experience
- OSHA 30 (or greater) certification within the last 5 years
- Advanced knowledge of construction practices and techniques in healthcare environments
- Experience with hospital IT/Low Voltage infrastructure construction or maintenance
- Experience with design and construction of healthcare infrastructure (heating, cooling, electrical, plumbing, emergency power, etc.)
- Familiarity with VA Hospitals/VA Design Guides/Manuals and related standards preferred
- Experience with infection control during construction within active hospital settings
- Experience with project phasing to maintain hospital operations during construction
- Experience with commissioning hospital infrastructure systems
- Knowledge of applicable codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, Florida Building Code, NEC)
- Demonstrated ability to coordinate submittals, RFIs, schedules, and field verifications
- Strong documentation and communication skills

- Experience with testing dates and phasing requirements
- Experience with campus site infrastructure (utilities, roads, parking) in healthcare settings
