Job Summary
Travel Respiratory Therapist with responsibilities including comprehensive respiratory assessments, bedside pulmonary function studies, ventilator management and weaning, airway clearance and suctioning, oxygen/humidification therapy, and collaboration with physicians on a patient’s plan of care. Provides respiratory therapy education to patients and families, adheres to infection control protocols, completes departmental paperwork, and supports emergent care per ACLS/BCLS standards. Requires NY/CT licensure as LIC-RT, NBRC CER-RRT registration, and BLS/ACLS; Bachelor’s degree preferred; duties performed across varied shifts in a hospital setting, including potential ICU involvement.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent, required
- Certificate of completion from an accredited respiratory therapist program, required
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist (LIC-RT) in NY State and/or Connecticut, required
- Registered as a Respiratory Therapist (CER-RRT) from the NBRC, required
- Advanced or Basic Life Support certification, required
