Job Summary
Plan, prepare, and deliver research-based lesson plans while monitoring student progress across classroom, cafeteria, and playground environments. Implement Response to Intervention Tiers 1, 2, and 3 using standardized achievement tests and data to tailor instruction for diverse learning needs. Collaborate with Special Education staff, parents, and colleagues to establish standards-based objectives and enforce school rules and policies. Maintain efficient record-keeping and utilize technology to support active learning strategies. This role requires a valid Texas teaching certificate and ESL certification, with duties involving full-day physical activity and adherence to ethical standards. Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate
- Texas ESL certification
- Demonstrate competency in the core academic subject area assigned
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding information concerning students, parents, staff, and classroom incidents
- Adhere to ethical and legal standards and model behavior that is professional and responsible
- Participate in approved professional development to improve skills related to job assignment
- Follow NYOS standard procedures for communication, interaction, and discipline as outlined in the NYOS Staff Handbook
- Regular and Reliable Attendance
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning
- Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures
