1st Swing Shift Extrusion Furnace Operator

Extrusion Furnace Operator on 1st Shift responsible for setting up extrusion dies according to the production schedule, operating an overhead crane to transport dies, verifying tooling stacks and die sizes, preparing dies for production, assisting the Press Operator with die changes and production adjustments, collecting samples for conformity checks, operating the extrusion press during breaks, breaking down dies after production, and transferring dies to caustic cleaning for maintenance. The role requires following safety policies, maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and reporting safety concerns. Training is provided on the job; location is Independence, IA with a 6:00 AM–6:00 PM schedule on 1st shift and a 2-2-3 rotating weekend pattern; starting pay up to $20/hour with benefits and PPE reimbursement.
