Job Summary
1st Shift Welder responsible for welding fabricated components per customer specifications and United Alloy manufacturing standards. Role requires interpreting blueprints, welding to AWS D1.1 standards, maintaining welding quality and efficiency, training/mentoring other welders, and participating in continuous process improvements. Works on 4:00am-2:00pm Monday-Thursday with overtime as required; on-site in Janesville, WI; expects physical work including lifting and standing for extended periods, and strict adherence to safety and quality policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass a UAI AWS D1.1 welding test
- read and interpret blueprints
- able to lift up to 100 pounds with assistance
- able to stand for extended periods
- able to operate overhead cranes and basic tools
