Job Summary
Read standardized work instructions to set up secondary machinery and monitor workstations for parts, labels, and supplies. Coordinate material transportation between raw material stock, lines, and shipping to ensure timely job execution. Print accurate labels, organize incoming and outgoing parts, and determine order priorities to maintain smooth production flow. React immediately to priority changes and communicate daily activities with supervisors and coworkers. Maintain a clean, tidy, and safe work area while wearing required personal protective equipment in a loud, non-climate-controlled environment. Work overtime as required and adapt to frequent job duty changes.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma preferred
- Knowledge of basic math, reading, and writing
- Basic computer skills
- Previous assembly or material handling experience preferred
- Must possess excellent reasoning and communication skills
- Must be extremely focused and organized
- Possess good physical stamina and coordination
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to read standardized work instructions, operate machines and tools, and perform quality inspections
- Ability to promptly detect and respond to visual and auditory safety instructions, alarms, and signals
- Ability to see clearly at close and distance ranges, distinguish colors, maintain peripheral vision, perceive depth, and adjust focus as necessary
- Ability to bend, push, pull, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach to perform work
- Ability to lift or carry materials weighing up to 25 pounds and periodically care or lift materials weighing up to 50lbs
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, for example: safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, and steel-toed safety shoes
- Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled (conditions can be hot or cold) and/or in hazardous environments
- Ability to continuously and repetitively use hand positioning to grip/grasp devices such as hoists and a wide range of power and vibrating tools or other equipment
