Job Summary
1st Shift Warehouse Material Handler job responsibilities include moving freight and materials to and from storage/production using hand tools, pallet jack, or forklift; reading work orders to determine tasks and equipment needs; recording units moved; tagging containers; maintaining a clean, safe work area; complying with environmental and safety programs; physical duties including lifting up to 50 lbs; schedule is Monday through Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on-site with benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401k, disability, FSA/HSA, and vacation. Must be hardworking, adaptable, and capable of working with limited supervision in a dynamic production environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be a minimum of 18 years of age
- Ability to lift 50 lbs
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently with limited supervision
- Analytical and structured work approach
- Problem-solving skills
- High degree of self-motivation and flexibility
- Read work orders or receive oral instructions to determine work assignments
- Move freight, stock, and other materials using pallet jack, forklift, or other equipment as assigned
- Maintain an organized and clean work area and follow safety/environmental policies
