Job Summary
Operate wood preserving equipment safely and efficiently, ensuring material meets treating specifications while handling hazardous materials per policy. Transfer material into the treating cylinder, load and unload from the pad, and perform general preventive maintenance on equipment. Complete pre-shift/startup checklists, report problems, and prepare for the daily treating schedule by ensuring rough material readiness. Maintain a clean work area, assist with moving material via tram, and participate in safety, CI, and program meetings. Requires State Licensing and Forklift Driver certification.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of high school diploma/GED
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Demonstrate working knowledge of hazardous waste and hazardous material handling procedures and practices
- Successfully complete State Licensing requirements
- Successfully complete Forklift Driver licensing process
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 3 months, preferred 6 months of experience in related areas
