Job Summary
Draw up master schedules to establish operation sequences and lead times for Foundry products meeting shipping dates. Analyze production specifications and capacity data to determine processes, tools, and human resource requirements. Plan workflow and sequences for Patterns, Molding, Cores, and other operations while expediting delays and altering schedules for unforeseen conditions. Prepare production reports, material lists, and track shipped versus made pieces to maintain key performance indicators. Confers with department supervisors to monitor project status and maintain accuracy in all scheduling activities.
Required Qualifications
- associate's degree (A. A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school
- three years of related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence
- Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
- Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
- Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
- Must be able to work with basic software tools such as word processors, spreadsheets, and email
