Job Summary
Perform daily operations and safety checks, including battery, seat belt, brakes, life control, and fire extinguisher inspections. Identify raw materials, in-process items, or finished products, then cross-reference them with production or shipping schedules to ensure accuracy before proceeding to assigned areas to pull loads and move materials. Report any inconsistencies or problems to supervisors while maintaining high-quality standards and customer satisfaction. Requires 1+ years of forklift experience in manufacturing, basic computer knowledge, a clean driving record, and previous sheet metal experience. Must pass in-company forklift certification and be able to lift up to 100 lbs in a fast-paced fabrication shop environment.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of Forklift experience in manufacturing
- Basic computer knowledge and understanding
- Clean driving record with no property damage accidents within the past three years
- Good eye/hand coordination and good motor skills
- Must be dependable, reliable, and mature enough to handle equipment safely and sensibly
- High degree of attention required to prevent injury to others
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must have previous experience with Sheet Metal
- Satisfactorily pass in-company forklift certification program
- Must be able to lift up to 100lbs
- Position requires the ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Position may require bending, kneeling, and stooping
