Job Summary
Selectors at BJ’s Wholesale Club are responsible for accurately picking products to build pallets for shipping, operating powered equipment like forklifts, and maintaining safety and cleanliness in a cold storage environment with temperatures as low as -20 degrees F. Candidates must be able to lift frequently up to 50 lbs and occasionally up to 100 lbs. The role requires attention to detail, basic math skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced setting, including flexibility for various shifts that can include nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to independently lift 50 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally
- Willingness to work in cold storage conditions
- Ability to handle and prioritize requests from multiple sources
- Strong accuracy and attention to detail
- Basic math skills for verifying pallet ID numbers
- Ability to follow directions using a headset selection system
