Job Summary
Provide hands-on assistance with activities of daily living including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and mobility. Observe residents' physical and mental conditions, report changes to the clinical team, and document care provided in electronic medical records. Engage residents in meaningful conversations and activities while supporting them during mealtimes and monitoring dietary restrictions. Assist with light housekeeping duties such as making beds and tidying rooms. Act swiftly and appropriately in emergency situations following established protocols. Work closely with management, nursing staff, and other care providers to ensure holistic and continuous care for residents. Perform other related duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Director of Clinical Services.
Required Qualifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in using electronic health records (EHR) systems
- Understanding of state and federal regulations for assisted living
- Ability to lift, move, and transfer residents as needed
- Ability to stand, walk, and engage in physical activity for extended periods
- Must be able to respond quickly in emergency situations
