Job Summary
1st Shift Quality Inspector-1 at Trane Columbia in Columbia, SC. Join the Quality Team to inspect and audit air handler units against quality standards and engineering specifications; review parts/assemblies for conformance; verify drawings match product using shop floor systems; document non-conforming parts and aid in corrective actions with Production Leaders and assembly operators; provide training as needed. Requires QA/auditing experience, proficiency with MS Office, and the ability to stand endurance through the shift; weekend/overtime flexibility is required. Benefits and safety policies are included, with emphasis on quality control and continuous improvement in a manufacturing setting.
Required Qualifications
- High School degree (or equivalent) and 3 years of related work experience OR an associate degree in a related field
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) to create reports
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to stand or walk for an entire shift
- Flex shift required to work weekends and overtime, as needed
- Experience in quality assurance and auditing is required
- Willing to work flexible hours
