Job Summary
Production Lead for 1st shift responsible for driving a proactive safety culture and achieving production goals related to quality, productivity, customer service, and cost. Leads training and coaching of hourly production staff, schedules personnel, and collaborates with the manufacturing team to improve overall quality and throughput. Focus areas include safety program compliance, meeting quality standards, identifying nonconforming parts, conducting root-cause analyses, implementing corrective actions, developing training on procedures and ERP systems, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. Must demonstrate strong problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills, and be able to manage priorities, resolve bottlenecks, and report results while upholding company values.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 2-3 years in a leadership role
- Excellent problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Ability to identify and correct conditions that affect employee safety
- Ability to accept responsibility and accountability for actions
- Reliable, dependable, and trustworthy
- Proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
- Proficient in root cause analysis methods (5-Why, 4M, Fishbone, A3)
- Manufacturing leadership experience
- Ability to lead and train staff and manage attendance/issues
