Job Summary
Complete production activities in the Press Room by operating automatic presses, cranes, lift trucks, and auxiliary equipment. Perform changeover jobs including setup of blanking, progressive, and transfer dies, while conducting visual inspections of in-process and finished parts. Operate manual presses as needed, stack parts, and ensure safe operation of all machinery. Abide by SBD Willard safety policies, ISO standards, and procedures to maintain quality and a clean work environment. Recognize concerns and identify opportunities for continuous improvement. Perform departmental tasks assigned by the Stamping Supervisor or Group Leader.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have a valid lift truck operators license or successfully complete lift truck training
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions
- Must be able to operate an automatic press, set up dies, and changeover jobs
- Must be able to pass all certifications required for the position
- Ability to work overtime as needed
