Job Summary
First shift painter responsibilities include paint production activities such as safe operation of manual touch up guns, booth setup, color changes of modules, and powder flow adjustments; maintain 6S standards, perform visual inspections, complete maintenance on paint equipment, and report safety/quality concerns, while adhering to PPE requirements and SBD/ISO policies. The role supports continuous improvement and collaboration across the distribution center, with emphasis on quality, safety, and operational effectiveness.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Ability to learn the tasks, equipment, and PPE required of the position
- Proficient with operating manual touchup gun controls with appropriate triggering technique
- Must be able to follow instructions and work independently
- Must be self-motivated with a good work ethic
- Awareness of SBD policies and ISO standards
- Ability to walk, stand, and periodically lift up to 40 lbs. for a minimum of eight hours daily
- Available to work overtime as needed
