Job Summary
Loads, unloads, and moves materials within or near the plant, yard, or work site by reading work orders and following oral instructions. Opens containers, loads materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves, and secures lifting attachments to convey loads to designated areas. Operates industrial trucks or electric hoists to assist in loading and moving products, while stacking, bundling, and assembling crates for machines or vehicles. Counts, weighs, and records units on daily production sheets, attaches identifying tags, and removes samples for laboratory analysis. Shovels loose materials into hoppers or containers and makes simple adjustments like realigning belts or replacing rollers. Cleans work areas and machines to assist operators, adhering to safety procedures, security protocols, and proper PPE requirements.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
- one to three months related experience and/or training
- equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations
- Knowledge of AS9100 and IS14001
- Follow safety procedures, security protocol, and wear proper PPE
