Job Summary
Set up and operate secondary machinery while visually inspecting castings for defects and complying with customer specifications. Read standardized work instructions, perform hourly checks using gauges, and accurately enter data into production software. Meet daily production net requirements after scrap and follow containment procedures for all parts. Adapt to frequent job changes, cross-train on multiple machines, and complete daily paperwork. Work overtime as required and maintain a clean, orderly work area consistent with safety regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Knowledge of basic math, reading, and writing
- High School Diploma
- Basic computer skills
- Lock Out/Tag Out experience
- Possess good physical stamina and coordination
- Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to read standardized work instructions, operate machines and tools, and perform quality inspections
- Ability to promptly detect and respond to visual and auditory safety instructions, alarms, and signals
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment, for example: safety glasses, gloves, hats, ear plugs, and steel-toed safety shoes
- Ability to work in a loud manufacturing environment that is not climate controlled (conditions can be hot or cold) and/or in hazardous environments
- Ability to continuously and repetitively use hand positioning to grip/grasp devices such as hoists and a wide range of power and vibrating tools or other equipment
- Ability to bend, push, pull, twist, kneel, crouch, and reach to perform work
- Ability to lift or carry materials weighing up to 20 pounds and periodically care or lift materials weighing up to 50lbs
- Ability to occasionally sit, and climb (including ladders and lifts)
- Ability to recognize potential exposure to mechanical, chemical, electrical, and explosive hazards
Desired Qualifications

- Lock Out/Tag Out experience preferred
