Job Summary
Operate rotational molding machines to meet plant metrics for safety, quality, delivery, cost, and morale. Monitor plastic parts post-demolding for quality standards, detect defective materials, and report conditions to the supervisor. Maintain work areas and equipment cleanliness while performing preventative maintenance per charts. Execute tasks including material filling, deburring, molding, bench operations, and product inspection. Work at a continuous pace to meet parts-per-hour expectations, accepting frequent supervision for machine setups. Perform simple math, measurements, and create accurate production records. Stand, walk, and lift up to 25 lbs frequently; climb stairs and stoop as required. Work in a climate-controlled plant with potential exposure to heat, noise, and odors. Shift runs from 6am to 2pm.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to wear appropriate personal protective equipment
- 15 to 25 lbs. frequent lifting
- 20 to 40 lbs. occasional lifting
- Manual dexterity is required to perform normal day to day functions
- Must always demonstrate patience to successfully work through frustrating challenges and present oneself in a calm professional manner
- Must have the ability to work with and around others
- Able to focus and work at a continuous pace for extended periods of time
- 6am-2pm
Desired Qualifications
- Education: High School Diploma or equivalent GED is preferred
- Experience and/or Training: Prior rotational molding experience preferred
- Able to perform critical thinking and complex problem solving
- Able to work independently, be a self-starter, and meet deadlines
- High attention to detail and able to retain and follow detailed work instructions
- Able to detect and communicate molding defects efficiently and effectively
- Able to work through difficult and complex situations without becoming frustrated
- Shows moral courage, integrity, openness, and honesty in all dealings
- Able to perform simple math and measurements
- Able to create and maintain accurate production records
- Able to meet daily production expectations
- Able to effectively communicate critical information and production needs to supervision and co-workers
