Job Summary
Conduct preventative maintenance on laser and punch machinery using provided checklists, fabricating quality parts that meet print specifications and shear list requirements. Interpret data from blueprints and travelers to configure jobs, identify proper tooling, and maintain the tool crib daily. Visually inspect parts for defects such as burrs, burns, and slag to adjust machine cut conditions, while ensuring weekly maintenance sheets, sampling processes, and all documentation are completed and recorded. Report safeguard malfunctions, equipment issues, and documentation errors immediately to supervisors. Perform other tasks as directed by management while adhering to safety policies.
Required Qualifications
- Must understand metal conditions, thicknesses, and grain directions per shear list specifications.
- Must be able to visually inspect all parts after runs for excessive burrs, burns, slag and other defects to know how to make the necessary adjustments to the machine.
- Must understand proper technique on punch tooling, laser cut condition, and deburring using the correct equipment and efficient manufacturing practices.
