Job Summary
Conduct inbound receiving, put-away, outbound loading, and shipping of pallets while monitoring inventory levels and scanning products timely. Pick and load pallets for shuttle to the Ohio Kitchen, drop and move quality-impacted pallets, and maintain warehouse cleanliness and organization. Monitor temperature across all warehouse areas and notify supervisors immediately if readings fall out of tolerance. Utilize mobile handheld devices for scanning, safely climb in and out of trailers, and secure freight using appropriate tools. Work Tuesday through Saturday from 7:00am to 3:30pm, with availability for overtime based on business volume.
Required Qualifications
- Stand-up and sit-down forklift, electric and manual pallet jack experience
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must be able to speak/read/write in English fluently
- Good basic math skills
- Be available to work overtime if business volumes change
- Efficiently sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight using appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack, forklift and by hand as needed
- Utilize mobile handheld devices for scanning product
- Safely climb in and out of trailers
- Lift freight and other objects of various shapes, sizes, and weights (up to 50 lbs. frequently)
- Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and supplies (e.g., pallets, straps, rope.)
- Safely walk and stand for extended periods of time on a loading dock that has the potential to be below freezing and may become slippery
- Safely reach, bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel as necessary to perform the job duties
- Verify and complete required documentation and reports
- Adhere to company safety policies
- Must treat all co-workers with respect and be professional at all times
- Safely work in cold weather conditions
