Job Summary
Operate a sit-down forklift to load and unload truck deliveries, transport materials between facility locations, and move pallets throughout the greenhouse. Stack product in correct locations following inventory control instructions, update activity lists and records, and log completed tasks. Assist other departments as needed and support soil production. This role requires 2-3 years of forklift experience, proficiency with RF scanners, and the ability to lift 35 pounds unaided. The position involves long-term standing, squatting, and bending in a covered area with potential exposure to dust and allergens. Schedule is Monday-Friday with overtime and weekend work during peak seasons.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years' forklift experience
- Knowledge of basic hand and power tools
- Proficient in operating technical machinery and RF scanners
- Excellent hand-eye coordination
- Fluency to read, write, and understand the English language
- Must be able to work in all outdoor elements, including dust and allergens
- Position requires long-term ability for standing, sitting, squatting, bending, reaching, climbing, and twisting on a regular basis
- Must be able to operate all machinery necessary within the department and across the facility
- Must be able to lift 35 pounds unaided
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds with assistance
- Must be available for overtime and weekend work during peak seasons
