Job Summary
Oversee and direct the operation of the F.I.G. machine to ensure quality products are produced per approved processes. Set up equipment to match customer specifications, install lids with gaskets, caps or labels, and perform manual installations of plugs/caps. Regularly start/stop machinery, maintain housekeeping, and conduct quality checks on produced lids. Make necessary process adjustments to achieve acceptable product quality, notify management of production and scrap, and complete production reports. Visually inspect lids and prepare product identification and packaging labels. Maintain an organized work area and comply with Amcor safety and quality standards.
Required Qualifications
- Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to use hand tools
- Ability to use common measuring tools
- Able to work around chemicals
- Must be able to calculate using general math
- Must be able to identify alpha/numeric product codes
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds safely
- Must be able to frequently lift, bend, and reach to perform necessary job functions
