Job Summary
1st Shift Feed Mill Associate - Laborer responsibilities include unloading incoming ingredient trucks into correct bins, operating auto-receiving system, inspecting incoming material against receiving documents, collecting feed samples, rotating stock, and coordinating batching schedules. Performs housekeeping, preventive maintenance, and cleaning of equipment; communicates equipment malfunctions; conducts quality checks and verifies compliance with FSMA, FDA, GMP, QC procedures; maintains paperwork and reports; operates a forklift and adheres to safety policies; physical work includes lifting 50–100 lbs and working in dusty, hot, loud environments; opportunities for professional development within Wayne-Sanderson Farms.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Knowledge of feed manufacturing equipment operation and maintenance
- Ability to perform basic math functions (i.e. proportions, percentages, area, volume, etc.)
- Possess basic computer knowledge and usage abilities
- Ability to work unsupervised and self-motivate
- Ability to communicate effectively, and read and write legibly
- Possess sound work ethic, honesty and moral character
